A recently discovered memo published on Wikleaks particulars Apple’s burgeoning efforts to combat counterfeit goods in China and elsewhere, something the document states the electronics giant started in serious just 3 years ago.The unclassified memo, acquired by CNN’s Mark Millian today, arises from the U.S. embassy in Beijing and it is dated September 2008.Inside it, the embassy has an update on Apple’s plans to handle the growing quantity of counterfeit versions of their items in the area, including employing former Pfizer employees Don Shruhan and John Theriault to handle the business’s security.
